GROWING UP IN LOGAN SQUARE I WAS EXPOSED TO ALOT OF GANG ACTIVITY...SO FOR ME WEIGHT TRAINING AND THE MARTIAL ARTS WAS MY POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE TO STAYING OUT OF TROUBLE. DURING MY YEARS OF TRAINING IN THE MARTIAL ARTS I EARNED TWO BLACK BELTS. ONE IN MOO-DUK-KWON (AN AMERICAN, AND CHINESE STYLE OF TAE-KWON-DO), AND AIKIDO. AT THIS SAME TIME I WAS STUDYING WING TSUNG, ARNIS, KARATE, AND BOXING. THESE EXPERIENCES PEAKED MY INTEREST IN TRAINING OTHERS AS A CAREER. I DON'T BELIEVE THERE ARE GOOD OR BAD EXERCISES. I DO BELIEVE THERE ARE EXERCISES THAT CAN HAVE BOTH RISK AND BENEFIT. MY JOB AS YOUR TRAINER IS TO DESIGN AN EXERCISE PROGRAM WHERE THE BENEFITS OUTWEIGH THE RISKS.
